Sizzling hot hairstyles for women
1. The classic look returns
This season sees the return of the fringe. An interesting trend worth considering are bardot bangs – this type of fringe is long enough to be divided in the centre and swept to both sides of the face. This hairstyle gives a subtle and romantic look. Made famous in the 1960s by the fashion icon, Brigitte Bardot, it is again gaining in popularity. Bardot bangs are worn by celebrities such as Scarlett Johansson and Chloe Moretz.
2. Original hair colouring
If you are after a bold metamorphosis, the latest trends in hair colouring are made for you. We’re talking about dip dye hair – a method where only hair ends are dyed to a distinctive and intensive colour. Another interesting option is granny hair, or in other words, dying your hair… grey! These trends will certainly make you stand out from the crowd and focus everyone’s attention on you and your hair!
Mullet, a hairstyle originated by David Bowie – short at the front and long at the back, is back in favour with its fresh look as the MoMu (Modern Mullet). It is slightly less angular and much more elegant – and is an excellent idea when you're stuck for an unusual and stylish update to your look.
Trendsetting men's hairstyles
The characteristic hairstyle of Elvis Presley is back in vogue – and its updated version is worn by such celebrities as David Beckham and Justin Timberlake. A typical pompadour is worn with short back and sides, with the hair swept upwards. The look should be smooth and glossy, with tall, longer hair on top. Pompadour is a hairstyle for men who want a sleek and elegant look.
This is by far the most fashionable trend in men's hairdressing this season. Its great advantage is its versatility, as undercut suits every face shape. Similarly to pompadour, the side and back are shaved extremely short. Professional hairdressers offer a variety of looks – adapted to the character and style of the client. The most interesting varieties of undercut are:
- london look – this version is suited to men with curly hair. The hair is supposed to look like you’ve just got up, and the rebellious curls add a touch of jazzy chic.
- a’la mohican – longer sections of hair are swept upwards towards the forehead to create a messy top. This look is ideal for men with a strong personality who value original solutions.
- longer top – in this version, the careful styling is replaced with a relaxed look. The longer hair forms a fringe swept sideways which can be simply combed through. Anyone who loves to keep things simple and less uptight will enjoy wearing this hairstyle!
3. Middle parting
This is yet another hairstyle which is celebrating its big return. The style, popular in the 1990s and remembered for the central parting and hair swept to the sides, this season was seen on the catwalks of Prada, Versace and Gucci. This look is beloved by stars such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp, Bradley Cooper and Jared Leto. It works best on men with distinctive facial features.
